The ENJOI final event in Bologna, November 17

How can we better promote innovation and engagement in journalism today? The ENJOI final event "Innovation and engagement on the journalism horizon" will look at possible answers. The event will take place on November 17 in Bologna. We'll meet in the beautiful framework of Palazzo Pepoli, The Museum of the History of Bologna, from 9 am to 1.30 pm.

Innovation and engagement on the journalism horizon

In the past three years, the European project ENJOI explored and tested engagement as a key asset of innovation in science communication and science journalism. After presenting the ENJOI's outcames on November 16th, the conference on November 17th will show some practical examples of innovative, engaged journalism in Europe and beyond.

Elisabetta Tola, ENJOI coordinator, Ceo of formicablu and founder of Facta.eu, will introduce and wrap up the day. Aron Pilhofer, James B. Steel Chair in Journalism Innovation at the Temple University, US, will give a keynote speech on "Innovation and sustainability in journalism today".

A first roundtable will follow: Stephane Horel (Le Monde, France), Alberto Puliafito (Slow News, Italy) and Zeynep Sentek (The toxic Valley investigative project, Arena Climate Network, Turkey and Portugal) will talk about "Making journalism through collaboration and engagement".

A second roundtable will be on "Diving into in depth journalism", and will see the experiences of Raffaele Angius (Indip, IrpiMedia, Italy), Sofia da Palma Rodrigues (Divergente, Portugal), and Eva Rodriguez (Sinc, Spain).
